Government misled over 52,000 student loan borrowers, Parliament finds

Parliament's Treasury Committee concluded the government sold student loans without being honest about the terms. Promotional materials hid that the government could change loan rules later. The forms didn't clearly explain how much graduates would actually owe. Over half of surveyed borrowers said they didn't understand what they were signing up for.
