Government picks company for Taranaki floating gas base, delays deal

The Government has chosen its preferred company to set up a floating gas import base at Port Taranaki, MBIE said. The company’s name has not been shared, and nothing will be signed before the election. The idea is a special ship, parked at the harbour wall, to warm super-cold liquid gas back into gas.
