More sexual harm cases against boys reported to police in Australia
Police reports of sexual harm against boys ages 10-17 in Australia rose 15.7% after 2021, University of Sydney researchers found. The rise continues a 2014-2024 trend, in JAMA Network Open. The authors say more awareness and reporting may explain part of it. Money stress and online groups hostile to women are other possible reasons, with no single cause.
