Manchester Promises £2m for Musicians' Practice Rooms

Manchester Mayor Bev Craig promised £2m to give Greater Manchester artists more rooms to practise and make work. She spoke at Beyond the Music's meeting on artificial intelligence in MediaCity, Salford. The money adds to a £4m Culture Fund for the arts from earlier in October 2026. Whether new musicians keep that access depends on rollout across the region.
