A Verge writer testing AI that runs on a computer, not the internet, loaded a program called Qwen 3.8 Flash Next. It has 125 billion settings and takes about 105 gigabytes. He picked it from the setup screen in the Hermes Agent app, using an M5 Ultra Mac Studio with 256 gigabytes shared memory, in an Oct. 11 diary entry.
