UK Ends Refugee Safety for Syrian Surgeon

Britain's government office in charge of immigration has taken away refugee protection from a Syrian surgeon in London who arrived in 2016. It is believed to be the first time protection has been cancelled for one nationality, and the first Syrian case in Europe since ruler Assad lost power. Thousands of settled Syrians are likely to face the same loss.
