Identifying as Christian to Defend Tradition, but Rarely Going to Church
April 2026 survey of 1,765 adults by Theos classed 11% as Christian nationalists, its term 'identity integrationists.' Of that group, 81% said they were Christian, but only 13% went to church weekly, like fans who rarely go to games, near the 11% average. Theos says defending Christian heritage drives them; 90% link being Christian to that defence.
