New law: cars seized for 28 days if caught street racing

Parliament passed a new law on 30 June making car seizure automatic for street racing. Police now must hold the car for 28 days; they can't choose to let it go. Police Minister Mark Mitchell said this gives police stronger powers to keep communities safe. The rule is the same for everyone.
