Canadian Writer Anne Carson Wins 2026 Nobel Prize for Literature

Canadian poet and essayist Anne Carson, 76, won the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature on 8 October 2026. The Swedish Academy in Stockholm, which chooses the winner, said her bold writing plays with old Greek and Roman stories — like remixing classic songs — to make something new. She gets the medal in Stockholm in December.
