Captains offered $100,000 for one risky oil-ship trip

Ship captains are being offered up to $100,000 for one trip through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow route for oil ships, plus $50,000 bonuses, the Financial Times reported October 8. Iran has hit ships passing without permission since February, while the U.S. has blocked Iranian ports and guarded some ships. Tracker Kpler counted seven visible trips in a week.
