Oil Prices Jump, and Fuel Could Cost More
Global oil prices jumped on Oct 8, 2026. Brent, the worldwide price tag for oil, rose $2.28 to $102.28 a barrel, while the U.S. price tag rose $1.66 to $89.94. Buyers fear wider fighting in the Middle East and a hurricane off the U.S. coast cutting supply. Like two leaks in one tank, both could raise fuel and shipping costs.
