Family Blames University After Student's Death on Graduation Day

Glasgow University will answer for its handling of Ethan Scott Brown's degree, his family said through lawyer Aamer Anwar. They spoke after meeting Scotland's education chief Màiri McAllan in Edinburgh on 7 October 2026. Brown, 23, took his own life on graduation day, 13 December 2024, after being told he would not get an honours degree.
