Hamilton East picked the winner twice

Hamilton East has picked the winner at the last two elections, according to RNZ. In 2020, Labour's Jamie Strange won the local seat when Labour ran the country. In 2023, National's Ryan Hamilton won it when National ran the country together with ACT and NZ First.
