Lawyers Ask Tennessee to Keep Evidence After Execution Survival

Lawyers for Christa Pike, 50, will ask a judge Wednesday to order Tennessee prison officials to keep every physical item, paper record, and computer file from the Sept. 30 lethal-injection attempt. Pike survived two doses of the execution drug pentobarbital and is in critical care. Her lawyers say such survival is unheard of; her health is unclear.
