Badenoch promises tax-free family homes for children
Kemi Badenoch promised on Oct. 7, 2026 that a Conservative government would let families pass their home to children or grandchildren without the 40% death tax. In Birmingham, she said couples could hand down an extra £1m tax-free, cutting the number who pay by more than half. Fewer than 5% of families pay now. Critics say it helps wealthy voters.
