Conservatives' £10bn plan to protect Britain

The Conservatives announced a defence plan called Britannia Shield on 6 October. James Cartlidge said it would protect Britain from direct attack, costing up to £10bn. The party also published a short booklet, Defending Britain in a More Dangerous World. It was announced at its Birmingham conference.
