Conservatives announce £10bn 'Britannia Shield' defence plan

The Conservatives announced 'Britannia Shield' on 6 October. James Cartlidge said the plan would protect Britain from direct attack, with investment of up to £10 billion. The party also published 'Defending Britain in a More Dangerous World'. The announcement came during its Birmingham conference.
