Woman Awake After Surviving Two Execution Attempts in Tennessee

Christa Pike, 50, is awake and talking after surviving two execution attempts by injected drugs on Sept. 30 in Tennessee, her lawyers said Oct. 6. She is in a Nashville hospital getting intensive care while handcuffed. Found guilty of murdering Colleen Slemmer in 1995, her recovery is unlike anything doctors have seen, and her future health is unknown.
