French Teenager Hurt at School Protest in Lens

A 15-year-old lost a hand in Lens on Oct. 5 after contact with a police stun grenade, which bursts to push back crowds, during France's student protests. Protests started Sept. 21 over too few teachers and poor conditions and spread beyond Paris. Minister Edouard Geffray says at least 190 students were hurt. Police actions near schools will likely face questions.
