Paramount Buys Warner Bros. Discovery for $110 Billion, Now Called Skydance

Paramount finished buying Warner Bros. Discovery for $110 billion on October 6, 2026. The new larger company is named Skydance, with its shares listed as SKYD, and headed by chief executive David Ellison. It now owns HBO, CBS News, CNN, plus streaming apps and movie and TV studios.
