Fiji says oil and gas promise must stand

Fiji's Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka says a promise all countries made at the 2023 Dubai climate summit, called COP28, to move away from oil, coal and gas cannot be reopened. He said this at Fiji's warm-up meeting before year-end COP31 talks. Expect Pacific island nations to treat it as non-negotiable.
