Fiji says COP28 fossil-fuel transition pact cannot be renegotiated

Fijian Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka said the agreement by all countries at Dubai's COP28 summit in 2023 to transition away from fossil fuels is not open for renegotiation. The line was set at Fiji's pre-COP summit before year-ending COP31. I expect this to become the Pacific bloc's red line in the formal negotiations.
