Google pauses rewards for spotting flaws in free software after AI spam

Google has paused cash rewards for people who spot safety flaws in free, public software, effective October 1. It said it was flooded with computer-made reports using AI, mostly false alarms. Researchers were pointed to its other reward programs for finding flaws.
