Thousands March to Free Pakistan's Jailed Ex-Leader

Over 5,000 supporters of jailed former leader Imran Khan walked from northwest Pakistan toward the capital, Islamabad, on Oct. 4. His party, PTI, paused the march from Sept. 27 to talk twice with the government. Talks failed. They now demand his freedom, saying court guilty verdicts since August 2023 were for political reasons.
