Deadly Shooting at Georgia Homecoming Party

Two people died and at least 25 were hurt at a homecoming block party in Vienna, Georgia, early Oct. 4. Sheriff Craig Peavy, the county's top officer, said over 1,000 were there. Shots hit two places a short walk apart just after 1 a.m. while deputies watched the crowd. About 25 went to hospital.
