Man Who Faked Death to Escape Assault Charges Dies in Prison

Nicholas Rossi, from Rhode Island, faked his own death to avoid facing rape charges. He was later found in Scotland, brought back to the U.S., and convicted in August 2025 of assaulting two women. He died in a Utah prison on June 26, 2026, while serving his five-year sentence.
