Plan to hold down rent rises for three years

Green Party leader Zack Polanski said private rents should be held almost flat for three years, in his 2 October speech at Brighton Centre. Rents could rise each year only as fast as average pay, and never more than 2%, before a longer-term Fair Rents Guarantee begins. He said it would ease living costs for renters.
