
U.S. businesses added 90,000 jobs in September
U.S. businesses added 90,000 jobs in September, up from 38,000 in August, according to payroll company ADP on Sept. 30. That count leaves out government jobs. To me, hiring has stopped getting worse but is not strong again yet. That difference matters for borrowing costs and how safe your job feels.
