Weak jobs report lifts stocks, Nasdaq to record

U.S. stocks rose Oct. 2 after a weaker-than-expected September jobs report, Reuters reported. The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq climbed, with the Nasdaq hitting a fresh record, Business Insider reported. Bond yields — the return on bonds — fell. In my view, fading bets on rate hikes could lower borrowing costs, touching mortgages and savings.
