Sudan's Army Says It Took Over a Key Rival Base

Sudan’s army says it captured al-Mazroub in North Kordofan on Oct. 2, 2026, after battles with rival fighters, the Rapid Support Forces. The army calls it their biggest defended base there, key to cutting delivery routes between North and West Kordofan. In this war since April 2023, such claims need lasting control to confirm.
