Sudan's Army Claims Key RSF Stronghold in North Kordofan

Sudan’s army says it seized al-Mazroub in North Kordofan on Oct. 2, 2026, after fighting the Rapid Support Forces, its rival since the war began in April 2023. The army describes it as the RSF’s largest fortified base in the area, vital for blocking supplies between North and West Kordofan. Such claims remain unverified until control holds.
