Green leader wants to pause rent rises for three years

Green leader Zack Polanski opened the party conference on 2 October saying private rents should pause rises for three years. The BBC said he called it a three-year 'emergency brake' like pulling brakes. The Guardian said the triple lock-style fixed rule would ease housing costs for young adults. The BBC also reported his call for a 'national fair rent guarantee'.
