Tesla handed 486,532 cars to customers in July-September 2026 but built 464,391, dipping into stored cars like a shop selling from its back room for the second three-month stretch in a row. That is about 6,000 more than the prior three months and just under the record 497,000 last year, holding near peak after a slow start to the year.
