Former politician Bruce Baird dies at 84

Bruce Baird has died aged 84. He was the NSW minister in charge of transport from 1988 to 1995, and second-in-charge of the state Liberals. He later represented Cook in Canberra for the Liberals. He retired before the 2007 election and helped push Sydney's bid for the 2000 Olympics. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and the Liberals paid tribute.
