
Eastern Spain braces for dangerous flood rains, Valencia on highest alert
Forecasts show widespread rain above 100mm across eastern Spain on Friday, with spots reaching 200-300mm, the Guardian reported 2 Oct. Valencia and Castelló face the greatest flash-flood risk. A DANA, cold air above warm sea air that makes slow storms linger, is the cause. Spain's AEMET weather agency renewed its highest red alerts for very heavy rain in southern Valencia.
