Wholesale Gas Price Drops, Hinting at Cheaper Heating

Natural gas fell 3.1% to $3.011 per mmBtu on Sept. 29, Wall Street Journal market data show. MmBtu is just the standard heat-energy unit for gas, and Henry Hub futures are the main U.S. wholesale price. Lower near-term wholesale prices could ease winter heating and power bills, but that is an expectation, not guaranteed savings.
