Two Mainers seek Senate seat

Republican Sen. Susan Collins and Democrat Troy Jackson will meet in Maine's U.S. Senate general election on Nov. 3, 2026. Collins is from Caribou. Jackson was born in Fort Kent, about 40 miles north. Both are in Aroostook County. University of New Hampshire survey director Andrew Smith said the race is too close to call.
