Brazil Bans Online Betting Days Before Election

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has banned online gambling days before Brazil's first election vote on Oct. 4. The plan, shared Oct. 1, packs new rules into the last days of campaigning. I expect voters to weigh the ban against near-record household debt, families owing a lot of money. A possible second vote follows on October's last Sunday.
