NZ First got $161,000 where donors stay secret

NZ First received $161,000 in anonymous donations in the past three months, the Electoral Commission said. The figures were published 1 October. The money came through the 'protected from disclosure' scheme, a legal way to keep donors' names secret, like a sealed envelope. The party's yearly total is now $173,162, up from $5,000 in 2023, the Commission said.
