Stella McCartney swaps wool for brewed fiber

Stella McCartney put no wool on the runway this season in the gardens of the British embassy in Paris. The wool look was Brewed Protein, developed with Japanese company Spiber by brewing like beer to grow fibers, not sheep. She first used it a year ago. Will other brands brew at large scale?
