Former AI company worker warns of coin-flip danger to humanity

Geoffrey Irving, who previously worked at leading AI companies OpenAI and Google DeepMind, said he believes there is roughly a 50-50 chance, "about a coin flip," that AI could wipe out humanity. He spoke to research group Palisade Research, part of a dozen interviews on frominside.ai with past and present researchers at OpenAI, Google and Anthropic.
