Elderly woman can go back to her lifelong home in Madrid

Maricarmen Abascal, 87, can move back into her Madrid apartment after a deal following her Sept. 23 forced removal. She had lived there for more than 70 years, most of her life. Her removal brought protests about high housing costs in Spain. Her case is closed, but wider calls to better protect renters are still unresolved.
