Labour picks new candidate for Greater Manchester mayor job

Labour has chosen Bev Craig, who runs Manchester City Council, to be its candidate for Greater Manchester mayor. Andy Burnham, the current mayor since 2017, is stepping down. Craig already controls the mayor's main responsibilities: deciding how to spend money on jobs and training across the region's ten councils.
