Local Leader Killed After Talking About Ebola Safety on Radio

Marie-Celestin Karondwa, an official with the UDPS political party in Butembo, was killed Sunday after talking on the radio about how to stay safe from Ebola, a dangerous disease. His party says attackers beat him, stole his belongings, and set his house on fire. He later died. Protecting local messengers will be key to stopping the outbreak.
