DRC politician beaten to death after Ebola-prevention radio appearance

Marie-Celestin Karondwa, a UDPS party official in Butembo, was beaten to death on Sunday after promoting Ebola prevention measures on a radio programme. The party says attackers beat him, stole his belongings and set his house on fire. He died later of his injuries. Protecting local communicators will be central to containing the outbreak.
