England's Food Grows Where Water Is Short

81% of England's fruit and vegetables grow where water is short, Rebalance Earth reported on 27 September 2026. Most wheat, barley, oilseed rape, sugar beet and potatoes also face medium to very high risk of dry spells. The farming group Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board called the 2026 England-Wales grain harvest 'disappointing'.
