Fast Train Coming to Kingston, Will Get You to Toronto in 90 Minutes

Kingston will get a stop on a new fast-train line running from Quebec City to Windsor, the federal government announced June 22, 2026. The trains will carry passengers between Kingston and Toronto in 90 minutes—nearly half the time it takes on today's regular train service. The city, home to Queen's University, sits halfway between Toronto and Ottawa.
