Iran has proposed a week-long deal to U.S. representative Steve Witkoff in New York. America would first ease shipping restrictions, Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz — the narrow doorway much of the world's oil passes through — on day six, with talks on peaceful nuclear energy and U.N. monitors returning day seven, quicker than June's 60-day plan.
