Supreme Court Lets Citizenship Checks for Voters Continue for Now

The Supreme Court on Sept. 25, 2026 hit pause on a June ruling by Judge Sparkle Sooknanan that stopped the Department of Homeland Security from using its updated SAVE tool to check if voters are citizens. States can keep using it while the court fight goes on, NPR reported. The decision does not say if the changes are legal.
