Waymo's taxis with no drivers now give 500,000 rides a week

Waymo averaged 500,000 paid rides per week in September 2026, using about 4,000 taxis with no drivers in 15 U.S. cities. About 80% of those cars work in California and Texas. In September 2024, the service ran in three cities.
